Meet the Team
Julia Cort:
Julia Cort is the founder of Julia Cort Recruiting.
For over 20 years she has been working in the
high-tech industry. Starting as a sales representative
with Blyth Software in 1983 Julia moved up to
Director of Sales, United States in 1987. In
1991 she began working with software developers
to sell their products and to provide feedback
and market research. In 1996, circumstances
aligned her with Sunday and Associates, specializing
in the recruiting and placement of software
engineers. During her seven years with Sunday
and Associates Julia was fortunate to be exposed
to a variety of different disciplines that define
the world of hardware and software development.
In May of 2003 she launched her own business.
She holds a BA in Psychology from Skidmore College.
Chris Cort:
Chris Cort is the co-founder of Julia Cort
Recruiting and Julia’s husband. He has
been active in the business community for 25
years and was a principal in two companies,
Hirschfelder Corp., a food product company and
iCAS, a small software company. Both companies
were the subjects of acquisitions in 1982 and
1995 respectively. Chris works extensively with
multimedia, marketing and upper management
positions. Chris holds a BA in business and
an MBA both from the University of San Francisco.
He has been working with Julia since the inception
of the company. Chris devotes considerable time
to volunteer work and is active in fund raising
for various non-profit organizations.
